They’ve done it again. The MTH Foundation folks in Minocqua, aka the entire Hartzheim Family, hosted an amazingly successful, fun- filled and “fund raising” weekend.
Kicking things off on Friday, August 3rd was the ever popular Mary Terese Hartzheim Memorial Golf Tournament held at the Timber Ridge Golf Club. Close to 100 enthusiastic golfers participated in the event and turned in some memorable rounds. The tournament was followed by lunch and an exciting raffle! Pete and Suzi Hartzheim, along with a legion of able volunteers, organized a wonderful tournament. Many, many thanks to all the sponsors who made this event such a success.
Early Saturday morning saw several hundred runners participate in the Mary Mile and the 5K run. Under Maureen (Gordy) Drewsen’s able leadership, the event ran like clockwork and several talented runners posted some really fast times! The running community in Minocqua has put this race on its annual calendar and we are so grateful for the strong support. Our Mary Mile sponsors came through once again and we send them many thanks.
